Roots Tourism 2024 is an Italian State Department/Foreign Affairs (Ministero degli Affari Esteri) funded initiative promoting the search for one's roots in Italy. It encourages you and members of your party to explore your Italian cultural origins. Philítaly brings you on a customized travel experience bridging you to the past, exploring life traditions and stories, enjoying authentic food and wine, and retracing the footsteps of your ancestors, through a guided and curated cultural journey. Starts in Rome
Italy is ahead of the game in renewable energy. 2018 is the last year for which renewables capacity and production data in Italy were available. That year, overall installed power from renewables exceeded 54 GW, i.e. about 45% of the 118 GW-strong Italian generation park. In 2018, Italy also ranked third in Europe for renewable energy consumption, after Germany and France. This trip is customized for energy industry professionals across all categories of the energy sector lifecycle. The faculty in Italy will consist of policymakers, energy producers, consumer advocates, regulatory agents, academics and entrepreneurs in order to share best practices with Philítaly travel participants. This engaging educational and collaborative opportunity is scheduled for Fall 2025.
You will be guided by an Italian insider, Phil of Philítaly. He will leverage his Italian language, access to family and friends to show you the real Italian “day in the life”, and take you to places off the beaten path.
