See what people are saying about traveling with Philitaly

One of the best guided tours we have experienced. Phil is energetic, knowledgeable and bilingual which make him a wonderful resource for this type of journey!  He found fantastic hotels and restaurants that are lesser-known to tourists, which delivered a truly unique experience. Phil hired fabulous historians for Pompeii, Paestum and important sites that provided a much deeper understanding of these brilliant pieces of human history.  A highly recommended experience!

Urban Neighbourhood

Phil is a mover and shaker. He has an unusual gift for bringing people together, forges connections with the locals, and knows how to have fun…and how to help those along with him do the same. Plus, he speaks fluent Italian. All of these facts combined to make our trip to Rome and Southern Italy an unforgettable and authentic one. Highly recommend!

Embarking on Philítaly's 8-day tour through Italy was amazing. From the moment we touched down in Rome, every detail was seamlessly orchestrated. The well-crafted itinerary allowed us to explore iconic sites like the Colosseum in Rome and the breathtaking Amalfi Coast, while also delving into lesser-known gems like the charming town of Agnone and the historical richness of Campobasso.

What sets Philítaly apart is that it’s a holistic experience – it's not just about ticking off landmarks, but truly immersing yourself in the culture. The off-the-beaten-path excursions revealed authentic glimpses of Italian life, fostering a connection with the locals that I didn’t anticipate. The personalized touch extended beyond the usual tourist circuit, allowing us to savor local flavors and traditions. The stress-free nature of the journey cannot be overstated. Philítaly's meticulous planning ensured a perfect balance of exploration and relaxation. Phil as our knowledgeable guide enriched our understanding of each destination, offering insights way beyond guidebook facts.

Philítaly exceeded all expectations, providing an unforgettable Italy trip. For those seeking not just a tour, but an immersive cultural adventure, Philítaly is the gateway to an unparalleled experience.

Piazza Pretoria

I had the pleasure of participating in one of Phil's tours in southern Italy with friends and family. Being in the tourism industry myself for many years, I know what it takes to organize and run a successful tour. Phil has all of the qualities and skills for it! He is a natural leader, extremely passionate about all that is Italy, very organized and detail oriented, and all-around funny guy.

Our trip was so memorable particularly because of Phil's enthusiasm and love of family, history and Italian food. This passion was contagious and we all had a ball. I would recommend his tours to anyone because you are guaranteed to have a good time. You will never have to worry about logistics as he takes all of that very seriously, while living in the moment and making you laugh out loud!

Playing for Pizza: A Novel by John Grisham Published in 2012

American National Football League third string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, Rick Dockery becomes a national laughing-stock after what is considered the worst performance in NFL history. No other NFL team wants him after he is cut by the Browns.

Against all odds he lands a job as the starting quarterback for the Parma, Italy Mighty Panthers. The Parma Panthers are happy to have Rick, wanting an NFL player and not being selective about which former American NFL player they choose.

For Rick, not knowing anything about Parma and not speaking a word of Italian, a series of adventures ensue bringing with it a few surprises.
